What Comes Next

Our next phase will focus on expanding both the research and the reach of the project. Priorities include:

• Inviting interested individuals, educators, researchers, and organizations to review the website and provide comments, criticisms, and suggestions about both the current work and our next steps.
• Finalizing the financial arrangements necessary to utilize the grants we have received.
• Processing the next 100 school districts.
• Preparing notices to school districts informing them of their ratings and providing opportunities to review the findings.
• Developing state-level school discipline metrics, and charting history.
• Applying for larger grants to support expanded operations.
• Beginning development of a broader media and public outreach strategy.
